More promising news for animals and animal lovers: yet another species has undergone successful cataract surgery, providing hope that pets with failing eyesight will soon have access to LASIK eye surgery.

Cataract surgery is often described as a challenge, and a procedure that is never quite routine, as individual patients respond differently to treatment and eyes are one of the more sensitive spots for surgery. But a primate patient is an altogether different story—but in this case, one with a happy ending. And that one happy ending could mean many more for other animals with failing eyesight.
