Dr. Galen Grayson has practiced refractive surgery in North Carolina for over a decade, and is the founder and current president of Genesis Eye Center in Charlotte. Dr. Grayson was a decorated officer in the United States Navy, having earned the Naval Commendation Medal and two Navy Achievement Medals.

Dr. Sarah Kirkpatrick, O.D.

Sarah Kirkpatrick with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Indiana in Bloomington in 2003, and obtained her Doctor of Optometry with Distinction award from Indiana University School of Optometry in 2007. She completed her residency at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in June 2008 where she gained advanced training in areas of glaucoma, retina, cornea, pediatrics, and neuro-ophthalmology. Kirkpatrick joined the team of professionals at Viso Lasik Medspas shortly thereafter and looks forward to building a rewarding career in a field she feels passionate about.

Eric Waldman, Ophthalmic Technician

Eric Waldman has 10 years of experience as an ophthalmic technician, including assisting in over 14,000 refractive procedures. Waldman has expertise in many areas of ophthalmology including retina, glaucoma, cornea, and ocular plastics and has been the head technician at one of the highest volume LASIK centers on the East Coast. Waldman holds certification in many different laser platforms, femtosecond lasers, and microkeratomes in addition to many diagnostic and interpretive ocular testing machines. Eric has assisted some of the most experienced and well-respected ophthalmologists in the country.

Marla Hofer, Center Director

Marla Hofer has more than 10 yrs experience in the LASIK industry, which has provided the foundation she needs to continue building her successful and fulfilling career as part of the Viso Lasik Medspas Charlotte team. Previously, Hofer has worked for one of the largest Lasik providers in the United States as Senior Ophthalmic Tech and also Center Director.

Jeanie Brown, PRC

Jeanie has been in medical sales for over four years. She earned her MBA from Boise State University in 2004 and her Bachelor of Science in Marketing and International Business from Oklahoma State University in 1996. Brown and her family moved to Charlotte Charlotte in 2006 and she stays active in the community through her membership in the Junior League of Charlotte, and the Charlotte Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumni Association.

Jennifer Otrezov, Concierge

Jennifer Otrezov graduated from Olivet College with a degree in Biology and concentration in Pre-Med. Jennifer also attended the Atlanta School of Sleep Medicine and Technology where she studied Sleep Medicine and Polysomnography. Jennifer’s winning professional combination of experience in both customer service and education in science contributes to her passion for the field and makes her a valuable asset to the Charlotte Viso Lasik Medspas team.
