 Dr. Maurer is the founder of Keys Eye Care, the largest ophthalmology practice in the Florida Keys and the only one offering optomized LASIK laser vision correction and multifocal lens implants for cataract and lens replacement procedures.
The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine awarded Dr. Maurer his medical degree, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha as one of the top five students. Dr. Maurer received his ophthalmology training at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans and joined the Aran Eye Associates in Miami in 1993.
Dr. Maurer quickly became one of the most-experienced eye surgeons in the Miami-Dade/Broward area, specializing in minimally invasive microscopic procedures. He became certified in VISX laser vision correction in 1997 and has subsequently been certified on the Bausch and Lomb Technolas laser, the Wavelight Allegretto laser and the IntraLase FS laser for bladeless laser procedures. Dr. Maurer has proctored other surgeons on the VISX laser platform and has been lead LASIK surgeon at Visual Health in the Palm Beaches and Laser Eye Center of Miami.
Dr. Maurer is known for rapidly incorporating the latest technological advances into his practice and has helped well over 5,000 of his patients to achieve their best possible vision through advanced laser techniques. He is excited to be a part of the VISO LASIK MEDSPAS team. |
