What is Permanent Makeup?
Permanent Makeup is a form of cosmetic tattoo.  Tiny amounts of natural pigment are inserted into the dermal layer of the skin.

Who is a candidate for Permanent Makeup?
Permanent Makeup is perfect for men and woman who are busy and don’t want to spend too much time each day applying makeup.  It is also a great procedure for people who have light, sparse or half eyebrows, those with sensitive eyes or sparse lashes.

May I choose the color and shape?
Yes, nothing is done without your approval first.  The shape and color is chosen based on your facial features and personal preference.

Is it painful?
A topical anesthetic is applied to make the procedure comfortable.  Most people will experience minimal discomfort.

What is the recovery time?
Some swelling may occur on the lip and eyeliner, however you can go back to work right after the procedure.  The color may look 20%-30% darker immediately after the procedure but will fade to the desired color in 5 to 10 days.  It normally takes 4-6 weeks for the skin to completely heal.

Is Permanent Makeup truly permanent?
A variety of factors affect the longevity of Permanent Makeup.  Sun & Tanning Booths, Various drugs, excessively dry skin and smoking can all affect this.  Alpha-hyrdroxy, Retin-A, and glycolic acids should be kept away from treated areas.  Use of sunblock and sunglasses can help prolong the life of this procedure.

How many appointments are needed?
Four to six weeks after the initial treatment, a follow up visit may be necessary to perfect the lines or color.  This visit does not require as much time as the initial procedure.
